MEET THE MAN
HARALD IS A 39 YEAR-OLD WITH CEREBRAL PALSY.
He has a degree in political science, but started the company ”Riise publishing - sporty web journalism” in 2011.
Exercising and sports are Haralds greatest passions. Under the pseudonym of ”Viking wheels” he aims to inspire people in different life situations to enjoy the fun and benefits of physical activity. Harald is primarily engaged in strength training. He uses Calisthenics, manuals and various kinds of exercise equipment. One of his favorite exercises is cycling, in which he only uses his arms.
He works out more than ten hours a week, focusing exclusively on the upper body. During the winter season he covers several kilometers a week with his hand bike, at the indoor running course of Bislett Stadium. In 2020 Harald became the new officially Guinness World Records® holder in Dead Hang, by crushing the former record by over two minutes. The former record was hold by a non-disabled man. He is also the current National pullup Champion (2024).

Harald loves body weight training - Calisthenics. He prefers doing pull-ups with his wheelchair in addition to his own body weight. Harald looks upon the wheelchair as a symbol of his disability. He will not allow it to tie him down.
